A Word From The Paster: Father Raymond

The Christmas season has come and gone but the celebration of the coming of the child Jesus stays with us as we relive it day after day. I apologize for the delay in writing these few words to share some thoughts on the past few weeks. The major reason for the delay is that we have had so many news items to be included in the bulletin, that there was never room for this message.
I cannot let this occasion pass by without thanking the many parishioners who have offered of their time, talent and treasure to make the past festivities so special.

For the first time, our Parish hosted a Christmas dinner for the needy families in our community. This was a combined effort of the wonderful Parish Staff, Hall Helpers, Holy Name Society, St. Vincent DePaul Society and the Ladies Auxiliary. A fabulous full turkey dinner was served. Also, thank you to the many parishioners who contributed food, and money for children’s gifts. The Christmas baskets were distributed to the families in need. Thanks to all who help get the baskets ready and delivered.

A word of gratitude needs to be expressed to all those who shared in the ministry at Mass: Fr. Peter Nobili, servers, lectors, Eucharistic ministers, ushers, music and singing ........ For the first time we had the St. Joseph School Choir for the Eve Mass. We were also privileged to have a visit from Santa Claus – St. Nicholas – for the 5:00 pm Mass. Children and adults alike enjoyed the surprise visit.

A final word of heartfelt thanks goes to the many parishioners who so generously have showered me with cards, donations, food, desserts, wine and many gifts. Your thoughtfulness and affection is greatly valued in this time when my family is so far away. Grazie Tanto.
